Kyokushi Roadside Station is on National Route 325 in Kikuchi City. Its produce and specialty shop sells Kyokushi beef, local vegetables and fruit, while the Shokusaikan restaurant serves dishes made with regional ingredients. It is a place to combine lunch and shopping while traveling toward Aso.
Kyokushi is a livestock farming area. You can choose its locally raised beef at the meat counter in the produce and specialty shop or enjoy it at Shokusaikan. You can also pick up vegetables and fruit alongside the beef to cook at home.
The official facility guide lists Shokusaikan as open from 11:00 to 21:00, with last orders at 20:00. On Wednesdays it closes at 18:00, with last orders at 17:00. Temporary restaurant closures are also announced, so check the latest notices if you plan to eat dinner here.
