Shimanto Toowa is a michi-no-eki (roadside station) in Towa Kawaguchi, Shimanto Town. Its Toowa Market, restaurant and ice cream shop offer a place to eat a lunch made with local ingredients and shop during a drive along the river. The Shimanto River Zipline is also on site, so a stop can include an outdoor activity.
The restaurant offers dishes made with ingredients such as wild ayu (sweetfish), eel, Towa Nishiki and Shimanto pork. Lunch runs from 10:30 to 15:00, with last orders at 14:30. The Thursday buffet may be suspended on some dates; check the monthly notices.
The market sells seasonal vegetables and fruit, bento (boxed meals), and processed products made with chestnuts, tea and shiitake mushrooms. The ice cream shop is open from 10:00 to 15:00. Check the official activity information for zipline participation requirements and reservations.

Lunch last order: 14:30. Closed Wednesdays in May–June and December–February. In September 2026, closed every Wednesday except September 23, when it is open. The Shimanto River Basin Buffet is held every Thursday from 11:00 to 15:00 (last order 14:30).
