Michi-no-Eki Kiramesse Muroto is a roadside station on the coast in Kiragawa-cho, Muroto City. Its Rakuichi direct sales market, Shokuyu - Isa no Go - restaurant, and Kujirakan whale museum make it a convenient stop for a break, a meal, and shopping on a National Route 55 drive or a trip toward Cape Muroto. Each facility has its own opening hours and closing days, which may change during busy periods and around the New Year.
The station is easy to include in a National Route 55 drive from either the Kochi or Tokushima direction. With parking and restrooms, it is a convenient place to stop before or after heading toward Cape Muroto.
The Shokuyu restaurant offers whale dishes traditional to Muroto, seafood rice bowls, sushi, set meals, and light meals. From 15:00 to 16:30 it serves drinks only, so check the meal service hours if you plan to eat.
The Rakuichi direct sales market stocks vegetables and fruit from local farmers, fresh fish, processed foods, bento boxed meals, and souvenirs. Fish may be unavailable in bad weather or when fishing boats do not go out, so allow some flexibility if seafood is the purpose of your visit.
Kujirakan is a museum introducing the history and culture of whales and whaling in Muroto. You can visit it alongside the market and restaurant.
Closed Mondays; if Monday is a public holiday, closed the following day instead. The official website says payment is cash only.
Meal service starts at 11:00, with last orders at 18:30. From 15:00 to 16:30, only drinks are served.

The gelato counter is reported closed on Thursdays due to staff shortages. Gelato in cups is also sold at Rakuichi and the restaurant.
