Roadside Station Oboke, on National Route 32, houses the Yokai House and Stone Museum. Explore local yokai folklore—stories of supernatural beings—and the geology of Oboke Gorge, then browse Iya soba (buckwheat noodles) and Yamashiro tea in the shop. An observation deck and toilets available 24 hours a day are on the parking-lot side.
See exhibits on the yokai of Yamashiro—supernatural beings from local folklore—alongside rocks, minerals and fossils. Last admission is at 16:30.
The observation deck to the right of the parking area is free and open 24 hours a day. You can also view the gorge from the balcony inside the building.
The shop sells Iya soba (local buckwheat noodles), tea, mountain vegetables, miso, natural-stone accessories and yokai merchandise. The listed hours for the food tenant are 10:00–17:00.
Closed on Tuesdays from December through February; when Tuesday is a public holiday, closed the following day.
