At about 700 m above sea level on the Orochi Loop, stop for views and a taste of Okuizumo.

Roadside Station Okuizumo Orochi Loop stands along National Route 314 at about 700 m above sea level. The observation deck, light meals and shop selling Okuizumo specialties make it a place to stop. The Iron Sculpture Museum and Mikuni Lodge are also nearby.
Near the Orochi Loop on National Route 314, the observation deck overlooks Miino Bridge and the Kisuki Line railway. It is a place to rest and enjoy the scenery during a mountain drive.
The shop carries Japanese iron knives, sweets, soy sauce and miso, among other items. Light-meal listings include nodoguro ramen, made with blackthroat seaperch, and meat soba noodles.
From December through March, the station opens at 10:00 and closes at 16:00. Plan your stop around these shorter hours rather than the spring-to-autumn schedule.
