Silk no Machi Kaya is a roadside station in Yosano Town along National Route 176. It sells agricultural produce grown in Yosano, locally processed foods, Tango chirimen textiles and other goods. Tango chirimen is a locally produced silk crepe fabric. On your way to or from the Tango area, you can explore both the region’s food and its weaving culture here.
The station has a produce sales area and items made with Tango chirimen, a local silk crepe fabric. Shopping here offers a look at Yosano’s craft traditions as well as its food.
The direct-sales shop is open 9:00–17:00 and closes for the New Year holiday, December 31–January 2. Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism says the toilets and parking area are available 24 hours a day.
Closed December 31–January 2.
