Why I like it

Reasons to stop here

01

Choose seafood and Fukui dishes

The dining area lists crab, fresh fish and soba (buckwheat noodles), as well as Volga rice, an Echizen City dish of omelet rice topped with a cutlet, and sauce katsudon, a pork cutlet rice bowl with sauce. Fresh fish is also sold on the first floor, so you can choose between eating in and shopping for food to take away.

02

Combine a Shinkansen stop with a roadside station visit

The roadside station is next to Echizen Takefu Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen line. The tourist information center is open from 8:00 to 18:00. Gather information on local crafts such as Echizen washi paper and forged blades, and on nearby sights, before continuing to your next destination.

03

Plan separately for daytime and evening meals and overnight rest

The second-floor dining area is open from 11:00 to 15:00 and 17:00 to 22:00, with a break between services. The annex toilets and free rest area are available 24 hours a day, including after the shop closes.
