Manyo no Sato Takaoka is a michi-no-eki (roadside station) on National Route 8 in Takaoka City. It has shops selling crafts and local products, a food court, and a road and tourism information area, so you can combine a meal with shopping during a journey. It is listed as about a one-minute drive from Takaoka IC, making it a convenient stop on trips using the Noetsu Expressway.
The operator offers souvenirs from across Toyama Prefecture and dagashi (traditional inexpensive Japanese sweets and snacks), and also highlights its signature ten-layer soft serve ice cream. Browse the craft and food shops while shopping in Takaoka.
