Izu Gateway Kannami is a michi-no-eki (roadside station) on National Route 136 near Kannami-Tsukamoto Interchange. It brings together the Izumon local products shop, a tourist information center, places to eat, and a 24-hour convenience store. Stop for information on your way into Izu or choose souvenirs on your way back.
The tourist information center is open from 9:00 to 18:00. Gather information about destinations across Izu before setting off; it is open during the same hours as the local products shop.
Izumon sells products from Kannami Town and Izu, including “Tap Yogurt,” a drinkable yogurt made with Tanna Milk and dispensed from a tap. There is also a sushi restaurant and a café inside, so you can eat and shop for souvenirs in one stop.
On clear days, you can see Mount Fuji from the second-floor observation terrace. If you visit at night, distinguish P1 on the roadside-station side from P2, which closes at 18:00.
